Roshi san you said that we should cultivate a mind that others can believe in. What does that mean? And how do we do that?

The base of TRUST of course is to hold nothing in your mind. If we sit Zazen and practice the mind of holding onto nothing, naturally we become someone who can be trusted. Usually people hold something in their mind, their opinion, their agenda is strong at times, and you can see that in their face. If we can avoid those people, it is fine, but if not, we clash against each other, because there are still many thoughts left in people“s mind and from there their actions come forth. If you see that person walking in the desert, and see the footsteps, if the person is full of thought, the footprints will be unclear.
