In the Preface to the recorded sayings of Zen master Rinzai it says Zen students who have the eye to see I entreat you not to exploit this text. What is meant by this?

November 4, 2015, 7:19 pm This is Babo who wrote the preface, saying that only if you realize the true eye of Rinzai yourself will the Dharma of Rinzai not decay. Put your life on the line and awaken to Rinzai´s teaching, that is what he is reprimanding us to do.
